Mathias Duplessy

Mathias Duplessy is a French composer and multi-instrumentalist born in 1972. A self-taught musician, he has been composing on guitar since the age of 6. At 18, he began accompanying world music artists on stage in Paris.

He studied flamenco in Granada and masters numerous traditional instruments from around the world: morin khuur (Mongolian fiddle), oud, saz, banjo, and practices Mongolian throat singing.

He tours internationally with his group "Duplessy & The Violins of The World" and regularly composes for cinema, notably for the Indian film Finding Fanny (two Filmfare Award nominations in 2014).
